If you want to set the ink from the edding textile markers or textile pens, it makes no difference whether you iron directly over the design or you turn the fabric over and iron on the reverse.

The main thing is to apply the heat without using steam in order to bond the ink particles and the textile fibres together more effectively. Some delicate fabrics such as silk require special care when ironing and in this case we recommend ironing on the reverse.
