Always ensure you replace the marker cap securely.  With some models you can clearly hear the characteristic “click” sound.

If the marker isn’t closed properly and the nib dries out, the ink flow stops for good. Even topping up the marker won't help because the ink can’t flow through the dried-out nib. However, to get round this problem we offer replacement nibs for some of the markers in the edding range.
