Do I need to use a primer when using edding 5200 permanent spray on smooth metal?
The edding 5200 permanent spray will adhere, even without priming. However, for best results and to enhance durability on smooth surfaces, we recommend our edding 5200 universal primer and, if required, a sealing coat of edding 5200 clear lacquer. In all cases, the surface should be clean, dry and free from grease.
