Yes, this works. The X multi marker ink can be mixed before dried. The chisel nib of the edding X multi marker get coloured, however. Nevertheless, the nibs can be cleaned easily by writing on a separate piece of paper. If the nibs get too dirty over time due to extensive mixing, there are spare nibs available.
