For the decorative design of porcelain, ceramic and ovenproof glass, we recommend our edding 4200 porcelain brush pens. Here, the paint can be made dishwasher-safe by baking it in the oven. When decorating ovenproof surfaces with the edding gloss paint markers, baking them in the oven does not improve their durability or make them dishwasher-safe. The colours do not need to be fixed in place, but once dry, they are smudge-proof, waterproof and weatherproof on numerous surfaces. Heavy scratching should be avoided with both types, as these are paints developed for decorative purposes. With heavy use, signs of wear would soon become apparent.
