Paste and ink have the same structure, they both contain solvents (water), binders, pigments and additives. Paste and ink contain the same pigments, but the binders differ. In the case of the paste, a thickener is also added to increase the viscosity. The paste also contains a higher proportion of fillers to adjust the consistency. Basic properties such as lightfastness, abrasion resistance, adhesion etc. are comparable for ink and paste.
